ARLINGTON — Troopers from the Shaftsbury barracks and officials from the US Marshal’s Service conducted a coordinated operation on April 8 to serve a federal arrest warrant to 39-year-old Candace Walsh, a resident of Arlington.

The operation, which took place on East Arlington Road, was in close proximity to Fisher Elementary and Arlington High School, prompting school officials to implement safety protocols as a precaution.

The schools were notified at 12:30 p.m. that the operation had concluded, and normal activities could resume.

Walsh was taken into custody without incident by the US Marshal’s Service.

With the Vermont State Police acting as a supporting agency during the arrest, officials have directed any requests for further information to the US Marshal’s Service.
