LYNDON — A local woman was arrested early Monday on charges of driving under the influence, marking her second DUI offense, according to Vermont State Police.

Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks were patrolling around US-5 and South Wheelock Road at 12:36 a.m. when they observed a vehicle committing multiple moving violations.

A traffic stop was initiated, and officers made contact with the driver, identified as 32-year-old Alexandria Hubbard of Lyndon.

During the investigation, Hubbard displayed several signs of impairment.

Field sobriety tests were administered, which she failed, providing further evidence of impairment.

Hubbard was taken into custody and transported to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.

She was later released with a citation to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on April 29 at 8:30 a.m. to face the DUI charge.
