Manchester man arrested for firearm possession in Nashua

NASHUA — A 26-year-old man from Manchester, New Hampshire, identified as Gregory Williford III, was arrested by the Nashua Police Department on April 7, for being a Convicted Felon in Possession of a Deadly Weapon.

The arrest followed a routine traffic stop conducted on April 6 on Main Dunstable Road.

During the stop for motor vehicle violations, Williford exhibited strange behavior, prompting a roadside investigation by the officer.

This led to the discovery of a loaded semi-automatic pistol in Williford’s possession.

According to police records, Williford has prior felony convictions in Utah, including Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Abuse of a Disabled or Elderly Adult, which under New Hampshire law, prohibits him from owning a firearm.

Charged with Convicted Felon in Possession of a Deadly Weapon, a Class B Felony, Williford is being held on preventative detention. He is scheduled for a court appearance at the 9th Circuit – District Division – Nashua Court on April 8 at 1:00 p.m.
