East Montpelier crash leads to DUI arrest

MONTPELIER — A single-vehicle accident on Gallison Hill Road near Wheeler Road led to a DUI arrest on April 7 at 5:12 p.m., according to Vermont State Police.

Shannon Triplett, 42, of Montpelier, was operating a 2017 Toyota Prius when her vehicle veered off the road, resulting in minor front-end damage.

The road conditions were dry, and the weather was clear at the time of the incident.

State Troopers, upon arrival, found that Triplett was under the influence of intoxicants.

She was wearing her seatbelt and did not sustain any injuries.

Following the crash, Triplett was taken into custody and processed at the Berlin Barracks.

Triplett, who was later released, has received a citation to appear in Washington Superior Court-Criminal Division on charges related to the incident.
