Drive-by-shooting arrest in Providence

PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Troopers have reported two separate arrests following recent incidents.

On April 7, at 9:30 p.m., 20-year-old Dhylan Carides from Providence, Rhode Island, was arrested on multiple charges.

These include drive-by shootings, discharge of a firearm when committing a crime of violence, felony assault, carrying a pistol without a license or permit, and conspiracy.

The arrest followed a highway shooting and an ensuing investigation, leading to Carides’ location by the Providence Police Department.

He was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and held overnight, pending a morning arraignment as a probation violator at the Sixth Division District Court.
