Woman arrested on DUI charges after single-vehicle crash in Richmond

RICHMOND — A Richmond woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence early Sunday morning after her pickup truck veered off the road and into a ditch on Governor Peck Highway.

Vermont State Police responded to the incident near the intersection with VT Route 117 at approximately 1:27 a.m., where they found 33-year-old Kylie Billado, the sole occupant of a 2011 Dodge Ram, wearing her seatbelt and with only minor vehicle damage reported.

During the investigation, troopers noted signs of alcohol impairment with Billado.

Following field sobriety tests, she was taken into custody and transported to the Williston Barracks for processing.

Billado was released with a citation to appear in Chittenden County Superior Court on April 25 at 8:30 a.m. to face DUI charges.

There were no injuries reported in the crash, and road conditions were noted as wet with clear weather at the time of the accident.
