St George gas station burglary suspect caught on video

ST. GEORGE — Vermont State Police have released surveillance footage from a burglary at Simon’s Gas Station that occurred in the early hours of April 3, showing a male suspect involved in the theft of approximately $15,000 worth of vape products.

The incident was reported at 5:10 a.m. when troopers from the Williston Barracks responded to a commercial burglary alarm at the gas station located at 2 Barber Street.

Employees discovered the break-in upon arrival, noting forced entry through the front door by a vehicle.

Investigators have since confirmed that the suspect made off with two display cases containing around 500 nicotine vape pens.

The involved vehicle, a grey 2002 Chevy Astro Van with Vermont registration KBH430, was identified as stolen from South Burlington and was located by the Hinesburg Police Department after 8:30 a.m. the same day.

The vehicle has been processed for evidence and given back to its rightful owner.

Authorities are now seeking assistance from the public in identifying the suspect from the video surveillance.
