Corinth man arrested for burglary, assault in Groton home invasion

GROTON — Troopers from the Vermont State Police St. Johnsbury Barracks responded to a home invasion on Stewart Drive on April 5, arresting 21-year-old Cody Gregoropoulos of Corinth on multiple charges.

The incident occurred when Gregoropoulos allegedly forced entry into the home by kicking down the front door, causing significant property damage.

An altercation ensued, during which Ethan Walker of Ryegate was assaulted, leading to further damages inside the residence.

Authorities reported that during the incident, Gregoropoulos made threatening comments that caused the occupants to fear for their safety.

He was apprehended at his home in Corinth without further incident and subsequently lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility.

Gregoropoulos faces charges of burglary, unlawful mischief, simple assault, and criminal threatening.

The case remains under investigation by the Vermont State Police.
