Vernon woman charged with luring a child

VERNON — A local woman was cited for allegedly luring a child and engaging in prohibited conduct, Vermont State Police reported Wednesday.

Authorities were alerted to the incident in the Town of Vernon by the Department of Children and Families.

An investigation ensued, leading to the charges against Kayla A. Parro, 26, of Vernon.

While details of the victim’s identity were withheld, Vermont State Police confirmed the individual resides in Brattleboro.

Parro is scheduled to appear before the Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, to respond to the charges.
