WRENTHAM — A barn attached to a home on South Street collapsed earlier today, according to Wrentham Police Department Chief Bill McGrath.
The Wrentham Fire Department responded to the scene and secured the area to ensure public safety.
Officials have yet to determine an official cause for the collapse, but it is suspected that the structure’s age, its state of disrepair, and possibly recent weather conditions may have contributed to the incident.
The Building Commissioner has been summoned to conduct a thorough inspection of the collapsed barn.
As of now, there are no reported injuries, and the fire department remains on the scene to assess and manage any potential hazards.
