Grand Isle theft of pride flag under investigation

GRAND ISLE — Vermont State Police are investigating a theft reported at the residence of 32-year-old Gabriella Pacht, where a pride flag was stolen from her garden on April 2.

Authorities were notified of the incident on April 3 at 4:09 p.m. The theft is said to have occurred between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. the previous day at 52 Adams School Rd.

The identity of the accused remains unknown.

The case has been escalated to the Office of the Vermont Attorney General – Bias Incident Coordinator, indicating the potential for a hate crime.

Vermont State Police are seeking assistance from the public in identifying the perpetrator(s).
