Danbury man struck by hit-and-run driver, police seek information

DANBURY — A man was seriously injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on Clapboard Ridge Road around 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Danbury Police Department.

Police units responded to the scene at 9A Clapboard Ridge Road following reports of a man down in the roadway.

Upon arrival, officers found that the victim had been hit by a vehicle that had fled the scene before their arrival.

The unidentified male victim was transported to Danbury Hospital with serious injuries.

Clapboard Ridge Road remained closed for several hours as the Danbury Police Accident Investigation Team conducted their initial investigation.

Authorities are now seeking the public’s help in locating the motor vehicle involved.
