Boston police issues alert for missing 16-year-old girl from Dorchester

BOSTON — The Boston Police Department has issued a missing person alert for 16-year-old Je’tyha Garvin, who was last seen around 6 p.m. on March 10.

Garvin, a resident of Dorchester, is described as a black female, approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with brown eyes, a medium build, a nose ring, and long dreads.

She was last seen wearing a black coat, black sweatpants, and either pink crocs or black slides with a stripe.

Recent reports suggest she may have been in the vicinity of American Legion Plaza.

Authorities are urging anyone with information on Garvin’s whereabouts to contact emergency services by calling 911 or to reach out to C-11 Detectives at 617-343-4335.

Tips can also be submitted anonymously.

The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in ensuring Garvin’s safe return.
