Waterford police investigate untimely death of man in Wal-Mart parking lot

WATERFORD — The Waterford Police Department is investigating the death of a man found unresponsive in a vehicle at a local Wal-Mart on Monday.

At approximately 8 a.m. on April 1, the Waterford Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call about an unresponsive male in a vehicle parked at the Wal-Mart store at 155 Waterford Parkway North.

Emergency services responded and found a 30-year-old man deceased.

The identity of the man is being withheld pending notification of his family.

While the cause of death is still under investigation, authorities have stated there is currently no indication of a threat to the public.

Chief Marc Balestracci of the Waterford Police Department has authorized the release of this information and urges anyone with knowledge about the incident to come forward.
