BOSTON — Boston Police Department officers arrested a man in connection with an armed robbery in Roxbury on Saturday.

Shawn Marsh, 32, of Dorchester, was apprehended after allegedly robbing a victim at knifepoint earlier in the day.

According to police, the incident occurred around 11:49 a.m. when Marsh became aggressive and threatened the victim with a knife on the 150 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard.

He then proceeded to steal an item from the victim and fled the scene.

A subsequent call at approximately 1:11 p.m. led officers back to the same location for another report of a person with a knife.

Responding officers, armed with a description from detectives based on the earlier incident, identified and detained a suspect matching the description.

Upon searching Marsh, officers found a knife with brass knuckles in his possession.

He was immediately arrested and charged with armed robbery and carrying a dangerous weapon.

Marsh is set to face the charges in Roxbury District Court.
