Springfield man charged with petit larceny for stealing television

SPRINGFIELD — A Springfield man was charged with petit larceny after allegedly stealing a television from a local community center, law enforcement officials reported.

The Springfield Police Department was alerted to the theft at Turning Point on Morgan Street, when at approximately 10:56 a.m. on March 20, a caller reported a man in a red coat snatching a TV and fleeing up Morgan Hill.

Officer Guzzo and Cpl. Perkins responded to the scene to begin their investigation.

Their efforts led to the identification of the suspect as Brandon Heist.

After a thorough investigation, Heist was found to have allegedly taken the television from Turning Point.

Heist was later issued a criminal citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit in White River Junction on May 21 at 8 a.m. to respond to the petit larceny charge.
