HAMDEN — The Hamden Police Department is investigating a burglary at the Slow Puffs smoke shop located at 3030 Whitney Avenue, marking the second break-in at this location in March.

Authorities were called to the scene in the early hours of Friday after an alarm at the smoke shop was triggered.

Upon arrival, officers found signs of forced entry.

This incident follows a similar burglary earlier in the month at the same shop.

The recent string of burglaries extends beyond Hamden, as several other nearby towns reported break-ins on the same night.

Police departments in the region are coordinating efforts to determine if the incidents are connected.

No suspects have been identified at this time, and the Hamden Police are asking for the public’s assistance in providing any information that might lead to an arrest.

Business owners are urged to take extra security measures in light of the recent burglaries.

The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.
