Naugatuck police seek help identifying attempted car theft suspects

NAUGATUCK — Naugatuck Police are asking for the public’s assistance to identify three individuals involved in an attempted car theft on March 28.

At around 12:45 p.m., a Naugatuck Police Officer responded to reports of suspicious activity near Highland Avenue.

The officer encountered three suspects allegedly attempting to steal a car.

Upon noticing the police presence, the suspects fled the scene on foot.

Despite a thorough search by police, assisted by a K9 unit and drone technology, the suspects managed to evade capture.

Witnesses reported seeing the trio enter an SUV and drive away from the area.

Security footage obtained from the vicinity has captured images of the three suspects.

The Naugatuck Police Department has released these images in hopes that members of the public can help identify the individuals.
