Williamstown man cited for grand larceny in construction site theft

UNDERHILL — A Williamstown man has been accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of tools and materials from a construction site, Vermont State Police reported.

Authorities were called to Tupper Road on March 19 at 7:49 a.m. after Kevin Bannister, 62, of St. Albans, discovered the items missing.

An investigation led troopers to Christopher Wood, 38, who they determined was responsible for the theft.

Wood was issued a citation to appear at the Chittenden County Superior Court Criminal Division on May 7 at 8:30 a.m.

The court date will address the grand larceny charge stemming from the reported incident.
