GREENWICH — A Bronx woman has been extradited to Connecticut and charged in connection with the fentanyl overdose death of a 40-year-old Greenwich man.

Maria Noesi, 53, was arrested March 27 in New York on a warrant and faces charges of second-degree manslaughter, sale of a narcotic substance, and first-degree reckless endangerment, Greenwich police said.

She is being held on a $500,000 bond.

On Nov. 12, police responded to a report of an unresponsive male at a residence in the western part of town.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and evidence suggested his death was drug-related.

Subsequent investigations confirmed the cause of death as a fentanyl overdose and identified Noesi as the provider of the fatal drug.
