BRADFORD — Vermont State Police arrested a 59-year-old Corinth man on an active arrest warrant for failing to appear in court.

Gerald Remacle was taken into custody at 1:11 p.m. Tuesday after a trooper spotted him as a passenger in a vehicle on Main Street.

Upon exiting the vehicle, Remacle was approached by the trooper, who recognized him and was aware of his outstanding warrant.

The warrant was issued after Remacle failed to appear for previous charges, which included violation of conditions of release and operating a vehicle with a suspended license due to a DUI.

After his arrest, Remacle was transported to Orange County court for arraignment on the charges.

Following the arraignment, he was released with additional court-ordered conditions.
