Springfield man arrested after police chase

SPRINGFIELD — A routine traffic stop escalated into a pursuit on March 16 when Springfield police attempted to apprehend a man with multiple active arrest warrants.

Officers Clark and Freeman conducted the stop at 10:54 p.m. and identified the driver as Kannyon Fuller.

A warrants check revealed that Fuller was wanted on several in-state arrest warrants.

According to the Springfield Police Department, Fuller allegedly fled the scene when officers tried to arrest him, leading to a short chase.

He was later found and taken into custody at his Springfield residence without further incident.

Fuller is scheduled to appear at the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit, on March 18 at 12:30 p.m. for the outstanding warrants.

Additionally, he faces a charge of attempting to elude and is due in court on May 7 at 8 a.m.

The Springfield Police Department thanked the Chester Police Department for their assistance during the incident.
