Chester police seek witnesses to hit and run that injured dog

CHESTER — Authorities in Chester are appealing to the public for help after a dog was hit by a vehicle in a hit and run incident Wednesday night.

The Chester Police Department reported that the accident occurred on Chester Street around 8:35 p.m. The vehicle, which was heading south toward the town center, struck the dog and is believed to have continued toward the center before taking an unknown route.

Police are asking anyone with information or security camera footage facing Chester Street between 8:25 p.m. and 8:35 p.m. to come forward.
