BOSTON — Detectives have arrested a local man in connection with a series of peeping incidents in the Brighton neighborhood.

Francis Gomez, 38, of Brighton, was taken into custody on warrants related to two separate events that took place on Donnybrook Road and Beechcroft Street.

In both instances, Gomez is accused of peering into homes and trying to gain entry into an apartment.

The Boston Police Department announced that Gomez will face arraignment at Brighton District Court.

Charges against him include Attempt to Commit a Crime, specifically Breaking and Entering at Night for Felony/Person in Fear, and Disorderly Conduct for engaging in Peeping Tom behavior.

The arrest is expected to bring relief to residents who have been on edge due to the privacy violations in their neighborhood.

The police continue to investigate and have not ruled out the possibility of additional charges as the case progresses.
