WAKEFIELD — The Wakefield Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run that occurred yesterday at the intersection of North Avenue and Church Street around 1 p.m.
An adult female reported that she was struck by a white pick-up truck while crossing the street.
The truck, which was traveling eastbound on Church Street, made contact with her and knocked her to the ground before fleeing the scene.
