Saco police seek driver in pedestrian hit-and-run

SACO — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident on the morning of March 20, prompting an investigation by the Saco Police Department.

At approximately 9:45 a.m., the pedestrian was using the crosswalk on Free Street when a blue Chevrolet Cruz, believed to be from Maine, turned from Free Street onto Main Street and hit the individual.

The female driver, described as Caucasian and in her mid-40s, briefly interacted with the victim before driving away from the scene.

A Saco parking enforcement officer, who was nearby at the time, managed to capture images of the vehicle as it left.

The Saco Police Department is now asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the driver.
