1 min read

WORCESTER — Two men were arrested by the Worcester Police Department’s Vice Squad on March 22 for allegedly distributing cocaine and fentanyl in the Boylston Street area.

Juan Otero, 41, and Owen Alicea, 27, were taken into custody after vice squad officers, acting on multiple complaints of drug transactions, observed what appeared to be a drug deal and conducted a traffic stop.

During the search, Alicea was found in possession of substances believed to be cocaine and fentanyl.

A search of the vehicle revealed a large number of used and unused drug packaging materials, a digital scale, and a bottle of cutting agent, suggesting an operation to distribute the drugs using Otero’s vehicle.

Both Otero and Alicea are facing charges including possession with intent to distribute a class A substance, possession with intent to distribute a class B substance, trafficking a class B substance 18-36g (19g), and distribution of a class B substance.

The Worcester Police Department is continuing its investigation into the matter.
