Waterbury man charged with aggravated domestic assault

WATERBURY — A Waterbury man was arrested and charged with first-degree aggravated domestic assault following a family disturbance near the Shaw’s supermarket on March 22.

Alonzo D. Kidder, 54, was taken into custody at 7:04 p.m. after Vermont State Police troopers from the Berlin Barracks responded to the incident.

According to authorities, Kidder allegedly assaulted a household member, resulting in pain and fear for the victim, whose details were not released due to the nature of the crime.

Following the arrest, Kidder was transported to the Berlin State Police Barracks for processing.

Details regarding his arraignment or any bail set have not been provided at this time.

State Police continue to investigate the incident.
