Meredith teen killed in two-car collision on Daniel Webster Highway

MEREDITH — An 18-year-old Meredith resident, Hannah Chaignot, was fatally injured in a car crash that occurred around 6:30 p.m. Sunday on Daniel Webster Highway, according to local police.

Chaignot was a passenger in a 2009 Pontiac when it collided with a 2017 Subaru.

The impact resulted in serious injuries to the Pontiac’s driver and another passenger, a 13-year-old.

Occupants of the Subaru, both aged 87, sustained serious injuries as well.

Emergency responders closed the highway following the crash, reopening the road to traffic at midnight.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances leading to the tragic incident.
