EXETER — The Exeter Police Department is actively investigating a brazen jewelry theft that occurred at Exeter Jewelers on March 22.

Authorities were called to the scene on Water Street around 3:54 p.m. after a male suspect allegedly ran off with a gold bracelet.

Described as a white male dressed in black pants, a red shirt, black ball cap, and sunglasses, the suspect was last spotted sprinting in the direction of Swasey Parkway.

Witnesses also reported a silver sedan, potentially a Toyota, speeding away from the area shortly after the incident.

In an effort to apprehend the suspect, video footage was disseminated on social media by third parties, leading to an influx of anonymous tips to the police department.

Poulin also noted relief that the theft occurred without any injuries to store employees or bystanders.
