Dartmouth man arrested on multiple drug charges

DARTMOUTH — A Dartmouth man was arrested on Thursday, March 21, on various drug-related charges following a coordinated search by local police and state troopers.

At around 4 p.m., Dartmouth Police Department’s Investigative Services Division and Massachusetts State Troopers from the Bristol County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence on Cove Road.

The search resulted in the discovery and seizure of 30 grams of suspected powder cocaine, 3 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 5 grams of suspected Fentanyl, 10 Suboxone strips, $955 in cash, and various drug paraphernalia.

Daarnez Ramos, 27, was taken into custody and has been charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of a Class A drug, and possession with intent to distribute cocaine and a Class B drug, both as subsequent offenses.

Ramos was also found to have an outstanding warrant.

The months-long investigation leading to Ramos’ arrest was spearheaded by Detective Cristina Brum and supported by detectives from the Dartmouth Police Community Impact Unit.
