Cranston police seek suspect in Stop & Shop shoplifting incident

CRANSTON — Police responded to a reported shoplifting in progress at the Stop & Shop on Garfield Avenue on Feb. 22.

Authorities say the suspect left the store with a cart full of groceries before being confronted by store security in the parking lot.

The individual then fled the scene in a white GMC Envoy.

The Cranston Police Department has released photographs of the suspect and is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the individual.
