Adams K9 unit successfully tracks down hit-and-run suspect

ADAMS — At approximately 8:30 p.m. on March 23, K9 Adam and Sgt. Crane of the Adams Police Department were summoned to assist the Cheshire Police Department in tracking an individual who had fled the scene of a motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, K9 Adam was deployed and successfully picked up the scent of the suspect.

Demonstrating skilled tracking abilities, the canine led Sgt. Crane directly to the individual who was then apprehended by law enforcement officers.

The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, was arrested following the successful K9 track.

The collaboration between the Adams Police Department and the Cheshire Police Department resulted in the swift capture of the suspect, ensuring community safety and bringing closure to the incident.

K9 Adam, a valued member of the Adams Police Department, received recognition for his role in locating the suspect.
