Springfield police seek help identifying bank fraud suspect

SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a bank fraud incident that occurred on March 22 at approximately 3:26 p.m.

Authorities reported that an individual entered the Mascoma Bank located at 270 River Street and used a fraudulent identification card to withdraw a large sum of money.

The suspect was captured on the bank’s surveillance cameras.

The police department has released a photograph of the suspect and is urging anyone with information to come forward.

Community members who can identify the individual or have knowledge related to the incident are encouraged to contact Officer Singleton at 802-885-2113.
