SABATTUS — The Sabattus Police Department announced early this morning that 57-year-old John Raymond, who was previously reported missing, has been found and is safe.

Raymond was last seen on foot near Crowley Road and Webster Corner Road and was believed to be in need of medical assistance.

Authorities were concerned for his well-being, as he was not dressed appropriately for the cold weather conditions.

The search for Raymond, which began yesterday at around 11:40 p.m., involved a coordinated effort between multiple agencies, including the Sabattus Fire Department, Maine Warden Service, Lisbon Police Department, Lewiston Police Department, Androscoggin Sheriff’s Office, and the communication department.

The Sabattus Police Department expressed gratitude to the community and the assisting agencies for their support and efforts in the search.
