Man charged with DUI near school in Danville

DANVILLE — A Danville man was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of drugs near The Danville School on March 21.

Vermont State Police identified the man as Paul Drew, 41, after responding to reports of a suspicious individual at 148 Peacham Road around 8:28 p.m.

Troopers observed Drew operating a vehicle and committing several motor vehicle violations before initiating a traffic stop.

During the stop, Drew exhibited signs of impairment and failed standard field sobriety tests, which led to his arrest.

He was processed at the St. Johnsbury Barracks and cited to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on July 8 at 8:30 a.m. for the DUI – Drug charge.
