Springfield woman arrested on warrant, found with suspected heroin

SPRINGFIELD — A local woman was taken into custody for an active in-state arrest warrant and was found to be in possession of suspected heroin, according to Springfield Police Department officials.

Sarah King was located by officers on Valley Street around 12:25 p.m. and arrested without incident.

The suspect was known to have an outstanding warrant.

Officers Singleton and Guzzo conducted the arrest, during which they discovered suspected heroin and fentanyl on King’s person.

Following the arrest, King was transported to Springfield Police Department for processing.

King is scheduled to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on March 18 to respond to the warrant charge.

Additionally, she has been issued a criminal citation for a subsequent court date to address the charges related to the possession of heroin.
