North Providence police seek tips in retired nurse’s murder

PROVIDENCE — The North Providence Police Department is calling for the public’s help in solving the murder of Claire Flynn, a retired nurse found dead in her home on Dec. 20.

Flynn, who worked with the Rhode Island Department of Corrections, was discovered in her residence under circumstances that led investigators to rule her death a homicide.

Authorities have not disclosed the cause of death or any details surrounding the circumstances of the incident.

The North Providence Police are urging anyone with information about the case, or individuals who were close to Flynn or had personal relationships with her in the past year, to come forward.

The department emphasizes that tipsters can remain anonymous.
