MOUNT HOLLY — A 53-year-old Mt. Holly man was cited for possession of child sexual abuse material, the Vermont State Police reported.

Daniel R. Adams was ordered to appear in Vermont Superior Court on May 6 after an investigation initiated by the Department of Corrections led to a search of his residence.

The investigation began in April last year when corrections officials reported a potential parole violation by Adams, who was on parole for prior sexual offenses.

The state police executed a search warrant and seized several items from Adams’ home at 2447 Old Turnpike Road.

Upon examination, these items were found to contain suspected child abuse images.

Adams is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. on the prescribed date to face the charges brought against him.
