Lyndon woman victim of hit-and-run in parking lot

LYNDON — Vermont State Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred in the Shippee Eye Care parking lot on March 18.

Authorities were called to the scene on Hospital Drive at 2:20 p.m. after an unknown vehicle struck the parked car of Elizabeth Robbons, 82, of Lyndon.

The incident is believed to have happened between 2:20 and 2:30 p.m.

Robbons was not in the vehicle at the time, and no injuries have been reported.

State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the driver responsible for the accident.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the St. Johnsbury Barracks at 802-748-3111 and request to speak with Trooper Hastings.
