Springfield man arrested for felony heroin possession

SPRINGFIELD — A traffic stop on Valley Street led to the arrest of Ryan Haines for felony possession of heroin, according to the Springfield Police Department.

During the stop, which occurred on March 15 at 2:17 p.m., Haines consented to a search of his vehicle and person.

Officers Ofc. Singleton and Lt. Deslauriers discovered a felony amount of heroin on Haines.

He was apprehended at 2:27 p.m. without incident.

Haines has been issued a citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on May 7 to respond to the charge.
