MANCHESTER — A local couple surrendered to authorities in connection with a series of sexual assaults alleged to have occurred over 20 years ago.

Upon receiving a report last year from a woman claiming she was sexually abused as a child, Manchester police conducted an investigation that led to the arrest of Daniel O’Dell, 53, and Sherry Letendre, 41.

The victim, who came forward with the allegations, stated the abuse happened when she was about nine years old.

O’Dell has been charged with Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault (Pattern) on a Child, while Letendre faces a charge of Criminal Liability to Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault (Pattern) on a Child.

Both are serious felony offenses.

A judge set bail for each individual at $350 cash.

The pair is expected to be arraigned on March 19 in Manchester District Court.
