Dartmouth police make arrest in construction site theft

DARTMOUTH — Police arrested an 18-year-old man Saturday on charges related to the theft of tools and other items from a local construction site.

Chad Rainville, of Cross Road in Dartmouth, was taken into custody around 1 p.m. after officers executed search warrants at his residence and a rented U-Haul van.

The Dartmouth Police Department’s investigative services and patrol divisions recovered a cache of stolen goods during the searches.

Rainville faces charges of receiving stolen property and conspiracy.

Officer Caden Kehoe led the investigation that resulted in the arrest.

Authorities also questioned a 15-year-old involved in the incident, who was later released to a parent.
