Concord woman cited for providing false information in overdose death investigation

CONCORD — A local woman has been cited for giving false information to police during a death investigation, authorities said Wednesday.

Brittany Conley, 33, of Concord, was cited and released for providing false information to a law enforcement officer in connection with the investigation into the death of 29-year-old Tyler Pierce, according to the Concord Police Department.

Pierce died of a drug overdose on Jan. 31 at approximately 2 p.m. During the course of the investigation, police determined that Conley had provided false information regarding drug use related to the case.

The citation for Conley comes after weeks of investigation following Pierce’s untimely death.

Police did not provide details about the nature of the false information allegedly given by Conley.

Conley is scheduled to be arraigned in Essex County on April 16.

The case remains open, and further details will be released as they become available.
