Haverhill police investigating Hampton Inn shooting, Methuen man arrested

HAVERHILL — A Lawrence man was critically injured in a shooting at the Hampton Inn on Bank Road, leading to the arrest of a Methuen resident, police said Thursday.

The Haverhill Police Department, with the assistance of Massachusetts State Police, are investigating the incident that occurred on March 13 at 4:17 p.m.

Upon receiving a report of a possible carjacking and shooting, officers found the 20-year-old victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his stomach.

He was transported to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition.

Dexon Justabe, 24, was arrested for his alleged involvement in the shooting and is facing multiple charges, including armed carjacking, assault with intent to murder, and illegal possession of a firearm.
