BOURNE — Bourne police detectives, in coordination with Falmouth police, arrested 37-year-old Sean F.

Feeney Jr. on March 14 after a warrant was issued for his involvement in the theft of fireworks from the Bourne Fire Department.

Feeney, the former Town of Bourne’s Facility Manager, is accused of illegally moving and removing a box of fireworks secured at the fire department headquarters.

The subsequent investigation revealed that Feeney allegedly tampered with security footage and obstructed the police investigation.

Falmouth District Court has charged Feeney with felony larceny from a building, felony withholding evidence from an official proceeding, and misdemeanor unlawful possession of fireworks.

He was apprehended without incident and is expected to be arraigned at Falmouth District Court.

The Bourne Police Department acknowledges the cooperative efforts of multiple agencies, including the Bourne Fire Department, Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and the Falmouth Police Department, in the ongoing investigation.
