1 min read

MONTPELIER — At approximately 4:35 p.m. on March 2, Montpelier Police Department officers were dispatched to a community center on Barre Street following reports of a possible trespassing incident.

Upon arrival, officers, including Sergeant Benjamin Michaud and Sergeant Michael Philbrick, determined there was no trespassing violation.

However, they found that a 43-year-old Milton man had violated his court-ordered conditions of release, which stipulated a curfew at his residence between noon and 6 a.m.

Washington County Mental Health Services was called to assist, and the individual was taken to Central Vermont Medical Center for evaluation.

The Montpelier Police Department’s investigation established probable cause for the arrest of the Milton man on charges of violating the conditions of his release.
