Boston police recover firearms, drugs in search warrant

BOSTON — Officers from the Boston Police Department’s Drug Control Units arrested a Dorchester man on firearm and drug charges following the execution of a search warrant on Friday, March 8.

At approximately 2:00 p.m., officers arrested Joseph Vilbrun, 25, after recovering two firearms with obliterated serial numbers, ammunition, 180 grams of cocaine, about 14 grams of heroin, and $2,300 in cash during the search.

Vilbrun faces charges including unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm with an altered serial number, trafficking of class B substances, and possession with intent to distribute class A substances.

He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
