Norwood schools receive non-credible threats, police investigate

NORWOOD — The Norwood Police Department was made aware of non-specific threats to the Coakley Middle School and Norwood High School this morning.

After investigation, police are confident that these threats are non-credible.

Additional officers have been staffed at both schools to reassure the student population of their safety and to support the schools.

The Norwood Police and the Norwood Schools continue to investigate this matter and will post more information as it becomes available.

The police department expressed gratitude for their close working relationship and partnership with the Norwood Schools.
