Dracut police, fire respond to serious crash on Hildreth Street

DRACUT — Chief Peter Bartlett and Chief Richard Patterson report that the Dracut Police and Fire Departments responded to a serious single-vehicle crash on Hildreth Street at the Lowell city line.

On Friday, March 8, at approximately 12:23 p.m., Dracut Police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a crash in the area of Hildreth Street at the Lowell city line.

First responders arrived to discover a single-vehicle crash with the vehicle at rest in the yard of a home off Hildreth Street.

The driver of the vehicle was trapped inside.

Dracut and Lowell firefighters worked together to extricate the driver.

The driver was taken by ambulance to Lowell General Hospital and then transferred to a Boston area trauma center.

Lowell Police also assisted at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dracut Police Department.
